Metal Working - Diablo Woodworkers
Designed for men and women who have an interest in a variety of
metalworking crafts including welding, metal machining (lathe and mill
operation), casting and sheet metal forming. Join us to exchange

This course

Box making provides a great vehicle for a small project in exotic

Furniture
Making: Queen Anne Table
Introduces the techniques for making a cabriolet furniture leg which is
the central feature of Queen Anne style furniture. Class project is a
small table with dimensions that maay be modified to suit the student's
needs. Prerequisite: Woodworking I & II at PHEC or instructor approval. (14 weeks) [M15, L14]

Joinery and Jigs
Create various types of joinery and jigs using power tools. Joinery
includes miter joints, mortise and tenon, dovetail, dowel, half lap,

Making with Biscuits & Pocket Screws
Build different styles of wood cabinets for kitchen, laundry, garage,

You never have enough clamps in your woodshop and they are expensive to
buy. Learn how to build inexpensive clamps out of wood. All materials

Whirligigs are those whimsical backyad wooden items that move with wind
power. These fun to make projects will help you hone your band saw and

Build five different toy trucks all on the same chassis so they are
easy to build. These trucks make great gifts for the grandkids or build

Beginning SketchUp for the Woodworker
Google "SketchUp" (free on the internet) is an effective 3D modeling
tool. Designed specifically for use in furniture and woodworking to
improve quality and integrity of design. Print full-size templates for
use in construction. Create designs with molding shapes and turnings

Learn how to sharpen chisels, plane irons, and hand scrapers. Bring
