Jeff is a life long woodworker who retired from industry and began
teaching in the Mt. Diablo woodworking program in 1998. He has a wide
variety of woodworking skills, but his specialty is building decorative
boxes with exotic woods. Jeff currently teaches Box Making, Advanced
Box Making, Clock Case Building, Art and Crafts Furniture, Shaker Box
Making, Table Saw Tune Up, Woodworking I, II, and III. Jeff lives in

David is a long time woodworker with a wide variety of interests - from
miniature scale model earth movers to classic pieces of furniture.
David joined Mt. Diablo Adult Education during 2003 and teaches

Ed currently has two careers. One working for one of the Bay Area's
Fortune 500 companies and the other teaching in the Mt. Diablo Adult
Education woodworking program on the week ends. Currently Ed teaches
Woodworking I and II on Saturdays. He is also active in Diablo
Woodworkers and, of course, spends what little leisure time he has
working in his home workshop producing a wide variety of projects. Ed
has attended the College of the Redwoods summer woodworking program to

Lou retired from the insurance industry in 1990 and was given a router
as a retirement gift. He had no idea what to do with it, but discovered
a "Router Fundamentals" class at the Pleasant Hill Adult Education
Center. Over the next few years Lou took every woodworking course
offered and then starting in 1994 he became an instructor. Currently
Lou teaches Wooden Toy Making, Sharpening, Veneering, and Hand Planes.
Lou lives in Walnut Creek.
Dick is a life long teaher and woodworker. He had a distinguished
career as a Graphic Arts teacher in the Mt. Diablo School District and
now teaches in the Adult Education program. He teaches both Woodworking
I and II and assists in a variety of other courses. Check out some of

Hal is an experienced and well schooled woodworker. His woodworking
educational experiences include Laney College in Oakland as well as the
College of the Redwoods in Fort Bragg. Hal teaches many of the PHAE's
woodworking courses , but specializes in Woodworking I and II, Pictures
Frames and Mats, Pocket Hole Joinery, Sharpening, and Cabinets.
Bill retired from the U.S. Navy and shortly thereafter discovered Mt.
Diablo's Adult Education's woodworking program and enrolled to further
advance the woodworking skills he had been honing for most of his adult
life. After serving as a volunteer, Bill became a teacher and now
teaches Woodworking I and II, Projects for the Home and Yard, and Home
Repair. Bill is one of the charter member of Diablo Woodworkers.
John is a volunteer in the Woodworking program at Mt. Diablo Adult
Education. He assists in several of the courses. John is a skilled
woodworker in his own right and is an active member of Diablo

Frank recently retired from one of the largest companies in the Bay
Area and then
found time to persue his life long passion for
woodworking. As a student in several of the advanced woodworking
classes, his talents were recognized and he was asked to
join the

Tim is a life long woodworker who specializes in reproducing

and 18th century museum quality antiques. After retiring from a career
at Bechtel, that took him to the far corners of the world, Tim joined
